Round 2 of EYCC 2017 took place in Mamaia
Round 2 of European Youth Chess Championship took place in Mamia, Romania. 23 Armenian players celebrated victories, 6 players made draws, while only 7 lost their games. Benik Agasarov, Gagik Navoyan (boys U8), Robert Piliposyan (boys U10), Eduard Hakobyan (boys U14), Aram Hakobyan (boys U16), Konstantin Yayloyan (boys U18), Mariam Mkrtchyan (girls U14) and Sona Asatryan (girls U18) took second victories and are among the leaders of the tournament. IMs Haik Martirosyan and Shant Sargsyan registered first victories.
Round 3 of the tournament will be held today.
EYCC 2017 is taking place from 4 to 15 September in Mamaia Romania. The Championship is played in 6 age categories: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18, boys and girls separately.
36 players from Armenia participate in the Championship.
