The qualifying tournament for the European Girls U20 Chess Championship has ended

From May 10 to 16, the qualifying tournament for the European Girls U20 Chess Championship, organized by the Armenian Chess Federation, was held at the Chess Academy of Armenia.

As a result of the tournament, WFM Polina Kobak earned the right to participate in the European Girls U20 Chess Championship with expenses covered by the Armenian Chess Federation. The championship will take place in Montenegro from August 5 to 16.

Here are the top three finishers:
1st place — WFM Polina Kobak
2nd place — WFM Sona Krkyasharyan
3rd place — Gabriela Harutyunyan

It should also be noted that the qualifying tournament for the European Open U20 Chess Championship will be held from May 27 to June 3. Players born after January 1, 2006, with a national rating above 2200 are eligible to participate.
