The "19th Poti International Chess Festival Nana Aleksandria Cup" has come to an end
Armenian chess players had a successful performance at the "19th Poti International Chess Festival Nana Aleksandria Cup," held in Poti, Georgia.
In Group A, FM Gevorg Alaverdyan scored 7 points out of 9 and finished in 2nd place. Gevorg also fulfilled his second IM norm.
GM Hovik Hayrapetyan scored 6.5 points and finished in 3rd place, while CM Volodya Torosyan showed the best result among players rated under 2300.
In Group B, Artush Avagyan finished in 2nd place, Ruben Ishkhanyan in 3rd, and Gevorg Sargsyan in 4th.
In Group C, Eduard Babaian finished in 2nd place, Mikayel Khachikyan showed the best result among players rated under 1700, Davit Poghosyan finished in 4th place, and Karen Yesayan in 5th.
In Group D, Andranik Hakobyan finished in 3rd place, while Sevada Galstyan showed the best result among players under 12 years old.
In Group E, Anna Gevorgyan took first place, Armen Alaverdyan finished in 2nd place, Grigor Hayrumyan showed the best result among players under 12 years old, while Nare Hovhannisyan showed the best result among female participants.
In the U10 tournament, Arsen Mangasaryan took first place.
In the U8 tournament, Vladimir Hovhannisyan took first place, while Monte Avetisyan finished in 2nd place.
In the U7 tournament, Mikayel Darbinyan took first place.
In the first blitz tournament, IM Aleks Sahakyan took first place, FM Menua Hakobyan finished in 2nd place, and Hakob Hakobyan in 3rd.
In the second blitz tournament, Davit Sargsyan showed the best result among players rated under 1700.
In the U11 blitz tournament, Arsen Mangasaryan took first place.
In the U10 blitz tournament, Arsen Bayramyan took first place, Arsen Mangasaryan finished in 2nd place, and Artur Margaryan in 3rd.
