Mikhail Botvinnik Chess Cup for Youth Teams from CIS Countries

From August 12 to 17, 2026, the Mikhail Botvinnik Chess Cup for Youth Teams from CIS Countries will be held in Moscow, Russia.

The tournament will bring together teams from Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Each team is led by an adult captain, while the other team members are three boys and one girl under the age of 14. The captains will play simultaneous exhibition matches against young chess players from the other teams. The points earned by all team members, including the children and the captain, will be added together.

In the first round, Team Armenia will face Team Azerbaijan.
