The European Junior U20 Chess Championship has come to an end

Here are the results of the Armenian chess players at the 2026 European Junior U20 Chess Championship.

4 representatives of Armenia finished in the top ten.

In the Open section, GM Emin Ohanyan scored 6.5 points out of 9 and shared 2nd–5th places, winning the bronze medal on tie-breaks.

IM Aleks Sahakyan, IM Vahe Sukiasyan, and FM Rudolf Pashikyan scored 6 points and finished 6th, 7th, and 8th, respectively.

During the championship, FM Rudolf Pashikyan fulfilled his second International Master (IM) norm.

IM Robert Piliposyan, FM Manvel Arakelyan, and IM Arsen Davtyan scored 5.5 points. FM Edgar Andreasyan scored 4.5 points, while CM Aleksandr Avanesyan scored 3.5 points.

In the Girls section, WFM Nvard Hayrapetyan scored 5.5 points and shared 9th–11th places, finishing 11th on tie-breaks.

WFM Polina Kobak and Angelina Mirakyan scored 5 points, while Emma Mkhitaryan scored 3 points.

Angelina Mirakyan (+125.2 points) and Nvard Hayrapetyan (+92.8 points) significantly improved their ratings during the championship.
