From November 27 to 29, the Qualification tournaments for the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships are taking place at the Chess Academy of Armenia.

Final ranking in the rapid tournament:
1st place: GM Tigran Harutyunyan
2nd place: GM Robert Hovhannisyan
3rd ​​place: GM Tigran Petrosian
4th place: GM Mamikon Gharibyan
5th place: FM Erik Gasparyan
6th place: GM Levon Babujian
7th place: IM Vahe Danielyan

The blitz tournament will take place tomorrow, and the chess players who will take 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the sum of two tournaments will get the right to participate in the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships.
