The "Tsaghkadzor Open 2026" International Chess Tournament has concluded

The "Tsaghkadzor Open 2026" International Chess Tournament, organized by the Chess Academy of Armenia, has concluded in Tsaghkadzor, bringing together more than 200 chess players from 10 countries.

The tournament was played over 9 rounds, and the results were announced during the closing ceremony held on October 30.

Here are the top three finishers in each group:

Group A
1st place: IM Arsen Davtyan
2nd place: Valery Sviridov
3rd place: IM Erik Gasparyan

Group B
1st place: Narek Mkrtchyan
2nd place: Samvel Mesropyan
3rd place: Hamayak Stepanyan

A blitz tournament was also held as part of the event on October 28, with its winners and prize-winners determined.

The top three finishers in the blitz tournament were:
1st place: GM Shant Sargsyan
2nd place: FM Erik Chaqryan
3rd place: CM Gagik Navoyan
