The first game day of the FIDE World Blitz Chess Championship has ended

The FIDE World Blitz Chess Championship 2023 is taking place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan from December 29 to 30.

The men's championship is held in 21 rounds, the women's in 17 rounds.

GM Tigran Petrosian: 6 points
GM Haik Martirosyan: 6 points
GM Manuel Petrosyan: 6 points
GM Robert Hovhannisyan: 5.5 points
GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan: 5.5 points
GM Mamikon Gharibyan: 4.5 points
GM Emin Ohanyan: 4.5 points
GM Tigran Harutyunyan: 2.5 points

In the 2nd round of the championship, Robert Hovhannisyan beat Levon Aronian.

WIM Mariam Mkrtchyan: 6 points
WIM Susanna Gaboyan: 5 points

In the 2nd round of the championship Susanna Gaboyan beat the 9th world champion Zhu Chen, and in the 9th round Mariam Mkrtchyan beat the 14th world champion Anna Ushenina.
