The Armenian men's and women's championships have started

The 1st round of the 84th Armenian Chess Championship and 79th Armenian Chess Women's Championship is underway at the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House-Sports School.

The pairings of the 1st round in the men's tournament are:
Manuel Petrosyan - Erik Chaqryan
Samvel Ter-Sahakyan - Mamikon Gharibyan
David Tiraturyan - Tigran Harutyunyan
Artur Davtyan - Zaven Andriasian
Robert Piliposyan - Robert Hovhannisyan

The pairings of the 1st round in the women's tournament are:
Arpine Grigoryan - Mariam Avetisyan
Susanna Gaboyan - Anna Khachatryan
Alvard Stepanyan - Meline Harutyunyan
Milena Gasparyan - Mariam Khachatryan
