The 1st round of the Armenian men's and women's championships has ended

The 1st round of the 84th Armenian Chess Championship and the 79th Armenian Women's Championship has ended.

17-year-old FM Robert Piliposyan defeated GM Robert Hovhannisyan today.

GM Manuel Petrosyan also won. Manuel defeated FM Erik Chaqryan.

GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan - GM Mamikon Gharibyan, David Tiraturyan - GM Tigran Harutyunyan, IM Artur Davtyan - GM Zaven Andriasian games ended in a draw.

In the women's championship, WFM Mariam Avetisyan, Alvard Stepanyan, Milena Gasparyan and WGM Maria Gevorgyan won the first game, defeating WFM Arpine Grigoryan, Meline Harutyunyan, Mariam Khachatryan and Polina Kobak respectively.

The only draw was in the game between WIM Susanna Gaboyan and WFM Anna Khachatryan.

The second round of the championships will start tomorrow at 15:00.
