Manuel Petrosyan became the champion of the Armenian Rapid Chess Championship

The Armenian Rapid Chess Championship dedicated to the memory of Ashot Anastasian took place at the Chess Academy of Armenia today.

GM Manuel Petrosyan, GM Shant Sargsyan and GM Zaven Andriasian scored 6 points out of 7.

GM Manuel Petrosyan became the champion of the championship with tie-breaks. Manuel also got the right to participate in the World Rapid Chess Championship.

GM Shant Sargsyan became the vice-champion, and GM Zaven Andriasian became the bronze medalist.

IM Vahe Danielyan took the 4th place, GM Robert Hovhannisyan took the 5th place.

IM Ashot Nadanian showed the best result among seniors.

WFM Anna Khachatryan showed the best result among women.

Vahe Sukiasyan showed the best result U16.
