Today is the birthday of Karen Asrian

Today, on April 24, Armenian chess player, three-time champion of Armenia, gold medalist of the Chess Olympiad, GM Karen Astian would have turned 44 years old.

Karen passed away suddenly on June 9th, 2008.

Today at 15:00 the Karen Asrian Memorial International Chess Tournament will start.
