The "8th Batumi Municipality Cup" tournament has come to an end
The "8th Batumi Municipality Cup" international chess tournament has ended.
The tournament was held in 9 rating and age groups, in 6 of which our Armenian chess players became winners.
We present all the prize winners.
IM Stefan Pogosyan scored 6.5 points out of 9 and became the winner of the A group.
GM Hovik Hayrapetyan and GM Hrair Simonian also earned the same number of points, taking the 2nd and 4th places respectively.
GM Levon Babujian scored 6 points and took the 5th place in the A group.
WFM Polina Kobak took the 1st place in the girls section of the A group, and WFM Anna Khachatryan took the 2nd place.
Menua Hakobyan scored 8.5 points out of 9 and became the winner of the B group.
Ararat Stepanyan scored 6.5 points and took the 5th place in the B group.
Veronika Khachatryan took the 1st place in the girls section of the B group, and Meline Harutyunyan took the 2nd place.
In the B group, Davit Baghdasaryan took the 1st place in the U16 section, and Narek Mkrtchyan took the 3rd place in the U14 section.
Arayik Yavryan scored 7.5 points out of 9 and became the winner of the C group.
Sargis Art. Manukyan scored 7 points and took the 3th place in the C group.
Viktoria Sharajyan took the 2nd place in the girls section of the C group, and Natali Keshishyan took the 3rd place.
Gor Grigoryan scored 7.5 points out of 9 and became the winner of the U12 group.
Armen Harutyunyan scored 7 points and took the 3th place in the U12 group.
Angelina Mirakyan scored 8 points out of 9 and became the winner of the U12 girls group.
Natali Afiyan also earned the same number of points, and took the 2nd place with tie-breaks. Araks Avetisyan took the 3rd place, and Xing Lida the 4th place.
Mikayel Sargsyan scored 7 points out of 9 and became the winner of the U10 group.
