Haik Martirosyan won silver and bronze medals

The "Chessy" team with the participation of Armenia's leading chess player Haik Martirosyan became the bronze medalist of the FIDE World Blitz Team Championship.

The team consists of GM Richard Rapport, GM Alexey Sarana, GM Haik Martirosyan, GM Vidit Santosh Gujrathi, GM Jorden Van Foreest, IM Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus, GM Anna Muzychuk, GM Koneru Humpy and Mukhtar Ainakul.

The Armenian chess player also took the 2nd place on the 3rd board.

During the championship, Haik defeated with a score of 2:0 Shahriar Mamedyarov, who has the highest rating in Azerbaijan.
