Today the Armenian national men's team beat the team of the Philippines

The 6th round of the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad is concluded.

Today the Armenian national men's team beat the team of the Philippines with a score of 2.5:1.5.

GM Shant Sargsyan and GM Robert Hovhannisyan won.

In the first three rounds the Armenian men's team beat the Maltese team (4:0), the Andorran team (3:1) and the Brazilian team (3:1), lost to the Chinese team (1.5:2.5) in the fourth round, and beat the Swedish team in the fifth round (2.5:1.5).

Today, the Armenian women's team lost with a score of 1.5:2.5 to the Indian team, which is the highest ranked team in the olympiad.

In the first five rounds the Armenian women's team beat the team of Trinidad and Tobago (4:0), the Mexican team (4:0), the Hungarian B team (3:1), the Vietnam team (3:1) and the Chinese team (2.5:1.5).

Our women's and men's teams are in the top ten. The women's team is in the 5th place, and the men's team is in the 8th place.

Tomorrow is a rest day. The next round will start on September 18 at 17:00 Armenian time.

The Armenian men's team will compete with the English team, and the women's team will compete with the American team.
