Zhanna Andreasyan welcomed the Armenian national chess teams today
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of RA, Zhanna Andreasyan today welcomed the Armenian women's and men's chess teams, who recently participated in the 45th World Chess Olympiad in Budapest.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of RA, Karen Giloyan and Executive Director of the Armenian Chess Federation, Armen Gevorgyan were also present at the meeting.
Zhanna Andreasyan welcomed the chess players, thanked them for the successful performance and congratulated them on their results. Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized that chess has a special importance among the public, especially since chess as a subject began to be taught in public schools.
Zhanna Andreasyan also congratulated the chess players and coaches of the Armenian chess team on being recognized by FIDE as the best team of the 100th anniversary.
"This is a great responsibility and honor. I am sure that playing under the name of the best team of the century will be an additional responsibility for each of you in the future. On the other hand, it is important that continuous work is appreciated not only within the country, but also makes Armenia known internationally as a chess country," said Zhanna Andreasyan and wished the chess players further achievements.
