The Armenian men's and women's chess championships are underway.

The 1st round of the 85th Armenian Chess Championship and 80th Armenian Chess Women's Championship is underway at the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House-Sports School.

The pairings of the 1st round in the men's tournament are:
