The 1st round of the Armenian men's and women's championships has ended

The 1st round of the 85th Armenian Chess Championship and the 80th Armenian Women's Championship has ended.

Today in the men's championship, GM Robert Hovhannisyan defeated GM Manuel Petrosyan, GM Zaven Andriasian defeated FM Sargis Sargsyan, and GM Mamikon Gharibyan defeated GM Hovik Hayrapetyan.

GM Tigran Harutyunyan - IM Artur Davtyan, FM Benik Agasarov - GM Karen Grigoryan games ended in a draw.

In the women's championship, WIM Susanna Gaboyan, WFM Anna Khachatryan, Milena Gasparyan and Lilia Danielyan won the first game, defeating Meline Harutyunyan, Mariam Khachatryan, WFM Polina Kobak and Syuzanna Arakelyan respectively.

The only draw was in the game between WFM Mariam Avetisyan and Nvard Hayrapetyan.

The second round of the championships will start tomorrow at 15:00.
