The Stepan Avagyan Memorial Tournament is about to begin

On May 28, the opening ceremony of the Stepan Avagyan Memorial Tournament was held at the "Jermuk Ashkharh" Health Center in Jermuk.

During the ceremony, tribute was paid to Stepan Avagyan — a true chess lover, former president of the Vayots Dzor Chess Federation, and former director of the health center. A documentary film titled "Bright Legacy" dedicated to his life and work was also screened.

The annual traditional tournament will take place from May 29 to June 6 in a round-robin format.
