Today is the birthday of Vladimir Kramnik

On June 25, Vladimir Kramnik, the 14th World Chess Champion, turns 50.

Kramnik is also a Chess World Cup winner and a three-time Chess Olympiad gold medalist as part of the Russian national team.

Kramnik is one of the few players who have passed the 2800 Elo mark.
