In the second-round tiebreaks of the FIDE Women's World Cup 2025, GM Elina Danielian conceded to GM Antoaneta Stefanova, while IM Lilit Mkrtchian was outplayed by IM Aleksandra Maltsevskaya.
In this round, reigning World Cup holder GM Aleksandra Goryachkina also concluded her participation, conceding in the tie-breaks to IM Meruert Kamalidenova.
The tournament is held in a knockout format with 7 rounds. In each round, participants play two classical games. If the score is tied 1:1, the winner is decided in rapid and blitz tie-breaks.
