Vladimir Akopian finishes as runner-up

GM Vladimir Akopian finished as the runner-up at the 2025 U.S. Senior Chess Championship.

He was the only player to remain undefeated throughout the tournament, scoring 5.5 points out of 9.

GM Alexander Fishbein, who also scored 5.5 points, won the title after a playoff.
