Armenian chess players are among the prize winners

Armenian chess players won prizes at the 31st Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival.

In the A group, GM Vahe Baghdasaryan became the sole winner, scoring 8 points out of 9.

In the B group, Tigran Petrosyan took 2nd place. Tigran also took 3rd place in the Juniors group.

In the B group, Artur Gharagyozyan took 7th place, and Hayk Khachikyan took 8th place.

In the B group, Nare Isakhanyan became the best female player.

In the Ladies Blitz tournament, WGM Maria Gevorgyan took 3rd place.

In the U16 Blitz tournament, FM Manvel Arakelyan took 4th place, IM Benik Agasarov took 5th place, and Davit Baghdasaryan took 10th place.

In the family tournament (parent + child), the winners became GM Vladimir Akopian and FM Eduard Hakobyan team, and the silver medal went to Artak Manukyan and Sargis Manukyan team.

In the U17 Blitz tournament, IM Benik Agasarov took 1st place.

In the U15 Blitz tournament, Sargis Manukyan took 4th place, Hamlet Sahakyan 5th, and Davit Grigoryan 10th.

In the G13 Blitz tournament, Gabriela Harutyunyan took 1st place.

In the U9 Blitz tournament, Artur Margaryan took 5th place.

In the U7 Blitz tournament, Monte Varderesyan took 3rd place.
