The 2025 FIDE Grand Swiss and Women's Grand Swiss is starting

The 2025 FIDE Grand Swiss and Women's Grand Swiss will take place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from September 4 to 15.

Representing Armenia in the Open section are GM Shant Sargsyan, GM Robert Hovhannisyan, GM Haik Martirosyan, GM Gabriel Sargissian and GM Aram Hakobyan. 

In the Women's section, GM Elina Danielian and IM Lilit Mkrtchian will participate.

The players who finish in 1st and 2nd place in each section will qualify for the 2026 Candidates Tournament.

The games will start at 14:00 Armenia time.
