Armenian chess players are among the leaders

Armenian chess players are among the leaders at the 2025 FIDE World Youth Chess Championship.

In the Open U14 category, FM Manvel Arakelyan has 4.5 points out of 5 and shares 2nd place. In the same category, FM Tyhran Ambartsumian has 3.5 points and Tigran Soghomonyan has 2 points.

In the Open U18 category, FM Vahe Sukhiasyan has 4 points and shares 2nd place. In the same category, IM Robert Piliposyan and FM Rudolf Pashikyan have 3.5 points.

In the Girls U16 category, Ani Avetisyan has 4 points and shares 6th place. In the same category, Anahit Mkrtchyan has 3.5 points.

In the Girls U18 category, Nvard Hayrapetyan has 3 points.

In the Open U16 category, FM Vache Hovakimyan has 3 points.

In the Girls U14 category, Gabriela Harutyunyan has 3 points.
