FIDE World Chess Cup

In the first game of the second round of the 2025 FIDE World Chess Cup, all Armenian grandmasters finished their matches in a draw.

GM Gabriel Sargissian, playing with black, drew against Israeli GM Maxim Rodshtein.

GM Shant Sargsyan, playing with white, drew against Peruvian GM Jorge Cori.

GM Robert Hovhannisyan, playing with white, drew against Indian GM Raunak Sadhwani.

GM Haik Martirosyan, playing with white, drew against FIDE representative GM Vladislav Artemiev.

Armenian-American chess players GM Levon Aronian and GM Samuel Sevian are also participating in the tournament. Today, Aronian, playing with the white pieces, won against Indian IM Ghosh Aronyak, while Sevian, also playing with the white pieces, drew against Singaporean GM Tin Jingyao.

The second game of the second round will start on November 5 at 13:30 Armenian time.
