First League of the 86th Armenian Men's and 81th Armenian Women's Chess Championships

The opening ceremony of the First League of the 86th Armenian Men's and 81th Armenian Women's Chess Championships took place today.

The Men's tournament will be held in a round-robin format with 11 rounds.

The participants are GM Mamikon Gharibyan, GM Emin Ohanyan, FM Vahe Sukiasyan, IM Arsen Davtyan, IM Robert Piliposyan, IM Erik Hakobyan, FM Benik Agasarov, FM Manvel Arakelyan, David Tiraturyan, Davit Davtyan, CM Valter Gyurjinyan and Arman Sahakyan.

The Women's tournament will be held in a Swiss format with 9 rounds.

The chess players who took the 1st-3rd places will get the right to participate in the Highest League.

The first round will start on November 23 at 15:00 Armenian time.
