Armenian chess players became the winners of the Kazakhstan Cup

GM Aram Hakobyan and WIM Mariam Mkrtchyan became the winners of the "Kazakhstan Chess Cup 2025" round-robin tournament held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

In the Open section, Aram scored 7.5 points out of 11 and became the sole winner of the tournament.

In the Women section, Mariam also scored 7.5 points, sharing 1st–3rd places, and took 1st on tie-breaks.
