The 16th Andranik Margaryan Memorial Youth Chess Tournament started

On January 8, the 16th Andranik Margaryan Memorial Youth Chess Tournament started at the Chess Academy of Armenia.

For many years, this tournament has brought together hundreds of boys and girls from different regions of Armenia to honor the memory of Andranik Margaryan and to preserve the values and chess traditions he left behind.

This year, 630 chess players representing various regions and communities of Armenia are taking part in the tournament.

The opening ceremony was attended by Aghasi Inants, Member of the Council of the Armenian Chess Federation, Armen Ambartsoumian, President of the American Chess Academy, as well as Father Shahe, who blessed the tournament.
