Smbat Lputian and Armen Gevorgyan followed the Ararat Province Youth Chess Championship

The Ararat Province Youth Chess Championship continues in the city of Masis. This tournament serves as the qualifying stage for the semifinals of the Armenian Youth and Girls Chess Championship.

Masis Mayor Norayr Hakobyan warmly welcomed Smbat Lputian, Founder and President of the Armenian Chess Academy and Vice-President of the Armenian Chess Federation, and Armen Gevorgyan, Executive Director of the Armenian Chess Federation.

During the meeting, they discussed the progress of the regional youth championship as well as upcoming plans for the development of chess in the Masis community.

Following this, Mr. Lputian and Mr. Gevorgyan held a working meeting with the coaches of the Chess Academy of Armenia branches in Ararat Province. Ruben Hovhannisyan, Advisor to the Mayor of Masis, also attended the meeting.

Mikayel Martirosyan, Chess Coordinator for Ararat Province, presented the ongoing work aimed at the overall development of chess in the region and outlined future plans. The coaches shared their programs and raised existing challenges.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Lputian presented upcoming initiatives, gave directives, and praised the work being carried out in the region.

After the discussion, Smbat Lputian and Armen Gevorgyan, accompanied by Ruben Hovhannisyan, visited the Masis Music School, where they observed the progress of the championship and expressed their satisfaction with the organization of the event.

Mikayel Martirosyan thanked the Armenian Chess Federation and the Chess Academy of Armenia for their continuous support.
