FIDE Candidates tournament

The 2026 Candidates Tournament continues in Pegeia, Cyprus.

The winner of the Open tournament will earn the right to challenge reigning World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju for the title, while the winner of the Women's tournament will face the current Women's World Champion Ju Wenjun.

After Round 3, the standings in the Open tournament are as follows:
