The Armenian Youth and Girls Chess Championship has started

The opening ceremony of the final stage of the Armenian Youth and Girls Championship 2026 took place at the Chess Academy of Armenia today.

The tournament is a qualifying stage for the European and World Youth and Girls Chess Championships.

Today, the U8, U10, U12, G10 and G12 tournaments kicked off, while tomorrow the U14, U16, U18, G8, G14, G16 and G18 tournaments will begin.
