Armenian chess players among the leaders at the European Individual Championship

The 2026 European Individual Chess Championship continues in Katowice, Poland.

The 5th round of the tournament was played today.

Armenian GM Robert Hovhannisyan drew his game and now has 4.5 points out of 5. Robert is sharing 1st–6th place.

GM Shant Sargsyan is also among the leaders with 4 points.

Also on 4 points are GM Emin Ohanyan, GM Haik Martirosyan, and GM Mamikon Gharibyan.

GM Gabriel Sargissian has 3.5 points. IM Arsen Davtyan and IM Artur Davtyan also have 3.5 points.

The 6th round will start on April 13 at 17:00 Armenian time.
