From November 27 to 30, 2025, the Karen Asrian Memorial Chess Tournament, organized by the Armenian Chess Federation, will be held at the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House-Sports School (Yerevan, Khanjyan 50).

The event will feature both Rapid and Blitz tournaments, bringing together 5 members of the Armenian national team and 5 top international players.

Rapid Tournament
The Rapid section will follow a 10-player Round-Robin format with a time control of 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment per move. It will take place over two days — 4 rounds on the first day and 5 rounds on the second day.

Blitz Tournament
The Blitz section will be a 10-player Double Round-Robin with 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment per move, also held over two days.

Prize Fund
Prizes will be awarded based on the players’ overall combined performance in both Rapid and Blitz events:
In the Rapid & Blitz events the standings shall be determined by the allocation of:  
2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss in a Rapid game; and  
1 point for a win, 0.5 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss in a Blitz game. 

1st place – 4,000 USD
2nd place – 3,000 USD
3rd place – 2,000 USD
4th place – 1,000 USD
5th place – 700 USD

In addition, the Armenian Chess Federation will cover the travel and accommodation expenses for invited 5 players.
