Abovyan Chess School (Non-Commercial Organization of Abovyan Community) organizes an International Chess Tournament with FIDE and national rating calculations. The tournament will be held according to the Swiss system in 9 rounds, with Groups A and B.

Group A is open to chess players who have an international rating or a FIDE ID of at least second category.
Group B will be held in age subgroups: Under 8, Under 10, and Under 12.

In the Under 8 group, players must have at least fourth category.
In the Under 10 group — at least third category.
In the Under 12 group — at least second category.

All prizes are subject to taxation in accordance with the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia.

Entry Fees – Group A:
Without FIDE rating – 15,000 AMD
FIDE rating up to 2000 – 10,000 AMD
FIDE rating from 2001 to 2100 – 7,000 AMD
FIDE rating from 2101 to 2300 – 5,000 AMD
FIDE rating 2301 and above – free of charge

Group B entry fee – 4,000 AMD

Registration:
To register, participants must pay the entry fee to the Abovyan Treasury account 900105201652, indicating in the payment purpose the tournament name, participant’s name, surname, patronymic, year of birth, and category/rating.

The payment receipt must be submitted to the Abovyan Chess School NCO of Abovyan Community or sent to the email address: anminasyan67@gmail.com.

An Appeals Committee will operate during the tournament. Appeals must be submitted in written form within one hour after the end of the round, accompanied by a receipt confirming the payment of 20,000 AMD to account 900105201652.

If the appeal is not upheld by the Appeals Committee, the fee will not be refunded.
