"Vanadzor Open 2024" International Chess Tournament will be held in Vanadzor from August 1 to 7.

The tournament will host A, B, C, D, E groups accordingly.

Group A: is open to players with 2051 and above FIDE rating.  

Group B: is open to players with 2050 and below FIDE rating, as well as a limited number of 1st and 2nd category players, who don’t have FIDE rating.  
 
In the A and B groups national and (FIDE) ratings will be calculated.

Participants of A and B groups must have a FIDE ID.

Group C: under 12 (including participants born in 2012).

Group D: under 10 (including participants born in 2014).

Group E: under 8 (including participants born in 2016).

The tournament will be held in 9-round Swiss system. Time control: 90 minutes for the whole game with 30 seconds increment starting from move one.

The total prize fund of the tournament is 5 000 000 AMD.

Under the regulations of the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia, there will be a 20% income tax withholding on prize funds exceeding 50,000 drams.

The deadline of the registration in the tournament is July 25.
