"XLI SELL Student Games" chess tournament

The team of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport became the winner of the "XLI SELL Student Games" rapid and blitz chess tournaments held in Riga, Latvia.

Teams from 14 universities representing 5 countries participated in the tournament.

The lineup of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport team was as follows:
IM Robert Piliposyan
IM Arsen Davtyan
Mariam Khachatryan
WFM Mariam Avetisyan
Coach: International Arbiter, Associate Professor Yervand Hakobyan

The Armenian representatives also won prize places in the individual competitions.

IM Robert Piliposyan took 1st place in the blitz tournament and 2nd place in the rapid tournament.

In the girls competition, Mariam Khachatryan finished 2nd in the rapid tournament and 3rd in the blitz tournament, while WFM Mariam Avetisyan took 2nd place in the blitz tournament.
