Semifinal tournaments of the Armenian Men's and Women's Chess Championships

The Semifinal tournaments of the Armenian Men's and Women's Chess Championships, organized by the Armenian Chess Federation, are underway at the Chess Academy of Armenia.

In the Men's Championship, after 6 rounds, CM Volodya Torosyan is the sole leader with 5.5 points.

FM Davit Davtyan, Aram Pluzyan, David Tiraturyan and Armen Galajyan have 5 points.

In the Women's Championship, after 6 rounds, Ani Hayrapetyan and Liana Hakobyan are the leaders with 5 points.

Viktoria Bondarenko, Mari Atoyan and Maria Karapetyan have 4.5 points each.

There are three rounds left until the end of the tournaments.

In the Men's Championship, the players finishing in 1st–4th place will earn the right to participate in the First League of the 2027 Armenian Men's Championship, while in the Women's Championship, the players finishing in 1st–10th place will earn the right to participate in the First League of the 2027 Armenian Women's Championship.
