European stage of the FIDE ISCF World Schools Team Championship 2026

From September 28 to October 3, Armenia will host the European Continental Stage of the FIDE ISCF World Schools Team Championship 2026, bringing together the strongest school teams from different European countries under one roof.

But these days will be about more than just chess. The championship will also offer participants an opportunity to discover Armenia: cultural visits, educational programs, masterclasses, and other activities will allow them not only to compete against one another, but also to learn about Armenia’s history, culture, and traditions and discover the beauty of Tsaghkadzor.

Armenia will be represented at this major international event by three school teams that earned their right to participate based on the results of the Armenian School Chess Olympiad:
Yerevan Basic School No. 77
Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex
Ayntap Secondary School No. 1

For these three teams, this will be a new experience of international competition, while for Armenia, it is an opportunity to bring the chess world together under one roof.
