The 3rd round of the Armenian men's and women's championships has ended

The 3rd round of the 84th Armenian Chess Championship and the 79th Armenian Women's Championship has ended.

David Tiraturyan, who has the lowest rating in the men's championship, defeated GM Manuel Petrosyan. David gained a big advantage from the opening and kept it until the end of the game.

GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan also won. Samvel defeated FM Erik Chaqryan.

At the moment, the leaders in the men's championship are GM Mamikon Gharibyan, GM Zaven Andriasian and GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, who have 2 points.

In the women's championship, we also have a sensation. Meline Harutyunyan defeated with black pieces the current Armenian women's chess champion WGM Maria Gevorgyan.

There were no draws in the women's championship today. WIM Susanna Gaboyan, WFM Arpine Grigoryan, Milena Gasparyan and Polina Kobak defeated WFM Mariam Avetisyan, Alvard Stepanyan, WFM Anna Khachatryan and Mariam Khachatryan, respectively.
