Armenian chess players are among the prize winners in Norway

Armenian chess players are among the prize winners of the "Kragero Resort Chess International 2024" tournament held in Kragero, Norway.

In the "Title Group", GM Emin Ohanyan scored 6.5 points out of 9 and shared the 2-5th places. Emin took the 5th place with tie-breaks.

WIM Mariam Mkrtchyan scored 5.5 points and took the 3rd place among girls.

Volodya Torosyan, who played in all games with chess players with a higher rating than him, scored 4.5 points and improved his rating by 136 points.

In the "ELO Group", Samvel Zakaryan and Mikayel Iboyan scored 6 points out of 9 and took the 4th and 5th positions, respectively.

Aida Alvanjyan scored 6 points and showed the best result among girls and chess players with a rating of 1400-1599.

Nrane Gevorgyan scored 4.5 points and took the 3rd place among girls.
