Armenian Senior Chess Championship

From August 20 to 28, the Armenian Senior Chess Championship 2024 is held at the Chess Academy of Armenia.

Before the penultimate round, the sole leader in the 50+ category is IM Ashot Nadanian, who has 4.5 points out of 5.

Mamikon Martirosyan has 4 points and is in the 2nd place. Khachatur Mesropian and Laert Margaryan share the 3rd-4th places with 3.5 points.

FM Roman Akopov is the sole leader in the 65+ category, who has 6 points out of 7.

Andranik Abrahamyan has 5.5 points and is in the 2nd place. Rafael Hovhannisyan and Anushavan Arakelyan share the 3rd-4th places with 5 points.

The 50+ category will take place in 7 rounds, and the 65+ category will take place in 9 rounds.
