First League of the Armenian Chess Championships will start tomorrow

The opening ceremony of the First League of the 85th Armenian Men's and 80th Armenian Women's Chess Championships took place today.

The Men's tournament will be held in a round-robin format, in 11 rounds. 

The participants are GM Mamikon Gharibyan, IM Robert Piliposyan, FM Benik Agasarov, FM Erik Hakobyan, IM Stefan Pogosyan, IM Arsen Davtyan, FM Aleks Sahakyan, FM Erik Gasparyan, FM Vahe Sukiasyan, GM Levon Babujian, FM Sargis Sargsyan and Vladimir Shahinyan.

The Women's tournament will be held in a Swiss format, in 9 rounds.

The chess players who took the 1st-3rd places will get the right to participate in the highest league.

The games will start on November 24 at 15:00 Armenian time.
