"Yerevan Open" international chess tournament is underway

Today, on December 5, the "Yerevan Open" 6th International Chess Tournament kicked off at the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House-Sports School.

The tournament is held under the high patronage of Yerevan Municipality. The main sponsor is Fast Bank.

The tournament is held in two rating groups: A and B.

85 chess players from Armenia, Iran, Russia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan and Sweden are participating in the A group, including 12 GMs and 5 IMs.

193 chess players from Armenia, Russia, Iran and Spain are participating in the B group.
