Aram Hakobyan became the champion of the Armenian Rapid Chess Championship

The Armenian Rapid Chess Championship dedicated to the memory of Ashot Anastasian took place at the Chess Academy of Armenia today.

GM Aram Hakobyan became the champion with 6 points out of 7.

GM Shant Sargsyan, GM Zaven Andriasian, GM Haik Martirosyan and IM Robert Piliposyan scored 5.5 points.

Shant Sargsyan became the vice-champion, and Zaven Andriasian became the bronze medalist with tie-breaks.

Robert Piliposyan took the 4th place and Haik Martirosyan took the 5th place.

IM Ashot Nadanian showed the best result among seniors.

WIM Susanna Gaboyan showed the best result among women.

CM Volodya Torosyan showed the best result U16.

There were also special prizes from the "Chessify" company (1-3 places, best result among women, best result U18 and best result among seniors).

IM Robert Piliposyan showed the best result U18.
