FIDE Women's World Cup is starting
GM Elina Danielian and IM Lilit Mkrtchian will compete in the 2025 FIDE Women's World Cup, which will be held from July 6 to 28 in Batumi, Georgia.
In the first round, Elina will face WFM Nadezhda Antonova (rating: 2030), representing Tajikistan.
Lilit will face WIM Lina Nassri (rating: 2054), representing Algeria.
The tournament will be held in a knockout format, with 7 rounds. In each round, the players will play two classical games. If the score is 1:1, the winner will be decided in rapid and blitz tie-breaks.
The first game of the first round will start on July 6 at 15:00.
