Armenian chess players are among the prize winners of the World Juniors U20 Chess Championship

Mamikon Gharibyan and Mariam Mkrtchyan are among the prize winners of the World Juniors U20 Chess Championship 2023.

In the Open tournament, Mamikon scored 8.5 points out of 11 and shared the 1st-4th places. Unfortunately, with tie-breaks, Mamikon took the 4th place.

In the Girls tournament, Mariam scored 8 points out of 11 and shared the 4th-6th places. With tie-breaks Mariam took the 4th place.
