Chess became part of Byurakan's festive day

Today, the Byurakan Astronomical Center celebrated the 10th anniversary of its founding with a festive event that brought together science, art, and sports.

The event was also attended by GM Smbat Lputian, founder and director of the Chess Academy of Armenia, along with Academy students.

GM Smbat Lputian held a simultaneous exhibition, competing against the participants of the event.

Meanwhile, the Academy students, led by GM Manuel Petrosyan and IM Arsen Davtyan, took part in a unique chess show where they themselves embodied living chess pieces.

The festive day united lovers of science, art, and the game of mind, once again highlighting that chess is not only a sport but also an educational and cultural value that connects people from different fields through creative thinking.
