The Armenian women's team finished in the top five

The Armenian women's national team finished in the top five at the 2025 European Team Chess Championship.

The championship took place from October 5 to 14 in Batumi, Georgia.

Our women's team shared the 4th-5th places, taking 5th place based on tiebreaks. A total of 36 teams participated.

The Armenian women's team was represented by IM Lilit Mkrtchian, WIM Mariam Mkrtchyan, GM Elina Danielian, WGM Maria Gevorgyan and WIM Susanna Gaboyan.

The Armenian men's national team finished in 19th place out of 40 teams.

The men's team included GM Shant Sargsyan, GM Robert Hovhannisyan, GM Haik Martirosyan, GM Gabriel Sargissian and GM Aram Hakobyan.

In the Women's Section, the Polish team became the winner, and in the Open Section the Ukrainian team.
