The Karen Asrian Memorial Chess Tournament has started

From November 27 to 30, the Karen Asrian Memorial Chess Tournament, organized by the Armenian Chess Federation, is being held at the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House-Sports School.

The memorial tournament includes Rapid and Blitz events.

Prizes will be awarded based on the players overall combined performance in both Rapid and Blitz events:
2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw in a Rapid game
1 point for a win, 0.5 point for a draw in a Blitz game

After the Rapid tournament, the results are as follows:

GM Parham Maghsoodloo — 12 points
GM Hovhannes Gabuzyan — 11 points
GM Gabriel Sargissian — 9 points
GM Nihal Sarin — 9 points
GM Shamsiddin Vokhidov — 8 points
GM Shant Sargsyan — 8 points
GM Bogdan-Daniel Deac — 8 points
GM Aram Hakobyan — 6 points
GM Robert Hovhannisyan — 4 points

The Blitz tournament will start on November 29 at 15:00.
